The big thing this past weekend was MINX NAILS! I took the Minx Level 1 Training course on Sunday night. It was so much fun meeting other nail artists, and networking with them. The Minx instructors were very helpful, and made sure to have one-on-one time with each of us. I even received a very nice Minx tote bag, which you know I will be sporting all around town. Plus they had a party for us, and the food was delicious and the drinks were free. I am happy to say I am now officially Minx Certified!

Now, you're probably wondering where the "and More!" part comes in. What could be as exciting as Minx Nails and open bar?

Well I will tell you...CND (Creative Nail Design) is coming out with an AMAZING new product in May. I was given the chance to watch a few demonstrations on Monday at America's Beauty Show, and I love it! The product is called SHELLAC, and it's nothing you have ever seen before. CND has taken nail polish to the next level, and I cannot wait to get my hands on it! Ladies you will no longer have to sit and wait for your nails to dry. No more flip flops in Winter. No chipping! No smudging! Longer lasting nail color!!! And my favorite part...NO DAMAGE TO NATURAL NAILS!

Sad news today. Pizza Man was destroyed in a huge fire early this morning. Milwaukee's East Side will never be the same.

Our love and support go out to Mike right now. I think we all feel like a part of our family is gone.

Lady Gaga!!!!

OMG! The Lady Gaga concert was so amazing! I've been to tons of concerts in my lifetime, and I have to say that she really puts on a great show. Janet Jackson's Velvet rope tour was my #1 favorite up until Friday night. I have to say they are tied at first place now. Gaga had so many costume changes! I also loved that she talked to the crowd a lot, and got everyone involved in the show. Plus, before she even came on stage they were playing Michael Jackson songs and EVERYONE was up dancing and singing along. I've never been to a concert where everyone is so hype. When the show ended, her and her dancers bowed. It truly was a great performance.

2 more day and American Idol starts...let the madness begin!

2010 - A Whole New Beginning

2009 was an okay year, but okay just doesn't cut it for me. So far 2010 is starting out with a bang!

For starters, I will soon be offering Minx Nails ( www.minxnails.com ) as a service for hands and feet. Minx is the latest trend in nail fashion. It's been a huge hit with celebrities like Rihanna and Beyonce. Minx is an overlay that is heat activated, and takes the place of polish. It's designed to last longer than polish...we will see. I did tons of research before ordering the product, and from what I hear it's all in the application. I plan on spending the month of January practicing practicing practicing so that I can be sure that my clients are getting the best service possible. I will probably begin offering Minx as a service starting in February, perfect timing for Valentine's Day!

Speaking of celebrities, and also a Minx lover. My friends and I FINALLY ordered our Lady Gaga tickets. We are sooooooooooo excited! Books, movies, and games...oh my!

So I found the greatest web site ever... www.swaptree.com I love it.

You can put whatever old books, DVDs, CDs, and video games you no longer want on there, and then other people do the same thing. When you find a person with something you want, and they want something of yours...you just swap. Basically you mail the item to them, and they do the same, and all you pay is a small shipping cost. It's pretty damn awesome.

It's become my new addiction. I have gone searching throughout the house looking for old items I want to get rid of. Some of the items I put on my "want list" will probably never happen, like a Wii fit...oh well, a girl can dream.
